Kamakiri Synopsis

Keith and Izanami must survive the chaotic, shadowy world of enigmatic Kami.

The normally level headed but easily manipulated Keith, apprehensively joins his lifelong best friend Wes in a high-risk quick-fix solution to their financial woes. They immediately go to work selling drugs for their childhood chum, the culturally confused Clarence. Wes’ need to flaunt his newly found wealth and the frills which go along with it, land the two best friends in the middle of a lopsided power struggle between the entire Crime Culture of the City of Angels, the island of the Rising Sun, the seemingly superhuman adversary, Kami, and his acrimonious father, Akira. Soon, a routine drug pickup turns horribly wrong as two harbingers of torment, intervene in their business on Kami’s behalf.

Disoriented and helpless, Keith awakens; being dragged to what very well may be his last resting place. The door to his impending doom opens only to reveal something completely unexpected, man’s greatest weakness, a beautiful female.

The seemingly innocent Izanami shares her horrific tale of a once loving relationship with Kami’s half-brother, Giovanni. Amongst the stories of ill-received innocence, Izanami equates to something different in Akira’s eyes. Not as a female for his son to find utopia through, but rather a catalyst to Giovanni’s demise. However, Akira himself is a man with a disturbingly dark history of confused love and dedication. What he loved ultimately ripped his family apart.

Yet, Izanami and Keith put pieces together to create an attraction that replaces irritation

Comprehension is quite often clouded when sexual magnetism is in the recipe. The powerful hand of fate interrupts the console of their attraction, as the puppeteer reveals itself. Keith’s worst fears are realized as his world is ripped out from underneath him. The key that unlocks their cage becomes a tool of torture. A twist of fate delivers Keith to the sanctuary he never intended. Darkness becomes illuminated amongst a background of shallow lies.
